...and then two come along at once!

Hot on the heels of the announcement of Cairngorm Soapbox Extreme is the news that another new soapbox race is to be added to the UK calendar, and this one is in Scotland too. "Border Bogie Race" will be held on 23rd May in Denholm in the Scottish Borders. The course is approximately 2/3rds of a mile in length, and is "quite a good gradient ... 30 to 40 mph stuff". You can see a video of it here (also embedded below).

More details soon.

Border Bogie 09

Yeah I heard about Border Bogie in Denholm. Sounds like its going to be a good one. Its a beautiful conservation villiage and the run is 1 mile outside running downhill in to the centre.Check out Youtube - Denholm Cartie, the clips give you an idea of the course on an unafficial test run.The guy with the camera is on a motorbike and has trouble keeping up with the Cart.I will find out more details a nd post them asap. That 's a Riley...

There's also a link to the vid' in the main article.

Knowing the driver and the cart, I'm not surprised the bike is struggling to keep up...Smile
