Ellon Pedal Car Championship
Following the success of the Raft Race in recent years, Ellon is hosting its first Pedal Car Championship in the summer of 2010. The streets will be closed off to make way for a fun day of racing where teams will compete in a series of races to raise money for their chosen charities.
This is a race for human powered pedal vehicles so your gravity powered racer will probably not do very well without a few modifications, but if you're interested and have enough time to fit some gears and pedals it should be a fun day out.

Alford Gravity Racing Wrap Up First SCA Championship
Alford Gravity Racing clinched the first SCA Championship title for the soapbox class at Cairngorm Soapbox Extreme 2010, with The Cheats confirming their domination of the new Gravity Sidecar class by remaining undefeated all year.
Alford shared maximum points with Team Rooket after a steward's inquiry into the final placings showed they had been wrongly denied a place in the final, and that was enough to put Alford in the top spot by the narrowest of margins.
Final postions are shown here.

Cairngorm Attracts the UK's Top Teams
Bentley's Soapbox Racers to take on the UK's Best at Cairngorm
Bentley Motors are entering two carties, including one from the legendary Goodwood FoS soapbox races, and The Cheats will be there with their currently undefeated Gravity Sidecar. Rollover Roy will be back for more as well. His cartie has been substantially redesigned after his accident last year, but his enthusiasm is undiminished.
As if that wasn't enough, the first ever SCA Championship reaches its climax at CSE2010, with Crockle, Alford and Nae Cost locked in a fierce competition with only one point separating them at the top of the table.
